About
I studied philosophy at Rutgers University and earned an M.A. in Philosophy from The New School for Social Research. I grew up in New Jersey and now live in Seattle, where I write, create videos, organize the Seattle Applied Wisdom Lab, and continue exploring questions about philosophy, psychology, culture, and the pursuit of truth.
How I Think
I don't think in terms of defending positions so much as pursuing questions. I'm interested in the conditions that make discovery possible and the habits of mind that keep us in contact with reality. That often means questioning assumptions that others take for granted—including my own. Once I feel I've understood something deeply enough to say what I need to say, my attention naturally shifts toward the next question. I'm less interested in arriving at certainty than in seeing more clearly.
What You’ll Find Here
My interests have taken me into philosophy, psychology, religion, culture, high-control groups, genealogy, and creativity. At first glance these may seem unrelated, but they're connected by a common concern: understanding what brings us into contact with reality, what draws us away from it, and what helps restore it.
